Welcome to my first vlog!

I’ve been meaning to pop my vlog cherry for a while now, so I finally bit the bullet and did it. Woohoo. I’ve discovered I’m a bit of a waffler! Who knew? *Cue many nodding heads*. But seriously, I thought I had enough content for a quick five minute clip, and blow me down if I didn’t at one point end up with a 15 minute clip – eeek. No one has time for that, Carls. So I got it down to 10 minutes. In this day and age of 140 characters or less and two minute news grabs, I am aware that many will consider this a long-watch. Thusly, may I lovingly suggest you go make yourself a cup of tea, sit back and relax? Maybe grab a snack to tide you over.

I really enjoy watching vlogs, I think it adds dimension to a person that you can’t get by just reading their words. But I largely had no idea how to produce one, so the process was self taught, with a bit of trial and error! She ain’t too polished or profesh, but I hope you enjoy it! I’d love to know what you think, please pop your thoughts in to the comments section below.

This vlog is on three easy ways to meditate, aimed mainly at beginners or those tip toeing at the edge of starting a meditation practice.

I’ve previously written a post on Why I Meditate, but I really wanted to do a vlog that paired it right back to help people ease in to a practice if they’re finding it a little hard to get started on one.

A couple of things to add:

I meditate in the mornings, first thing. I find it’s the best way to start my day.

To make it a habit, commit to 21 days of it – and it’ll become part of your routine, and indeed an integral part of your day. See the difference it makes to your life and general disposition after just a few weeks!

    Nicely done Carly!
    I started using the Chopra guided meditations a while ago and they are definitely a good way to start out. Meditation is something to have fun with, and playing around with different types to see what resonates with you personally.

    Finding somewhere in nature and tapping into the sounds around you, with your eyes closed or open, can be another easy starter.
